Quote from Sinclair B Ferguson

On Sunday (July 12) I continued preaching expository messages from Ephesians (1:8-10) to my enjoyment. As I was preparing and continuing the study privately today in Ephesians I came across this quote from Sinclair Ferguson that was rich from Ephesians 1:11, "In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will." Ferguson wrote:

But his glory is not the enemy of our good. In fact he pursues
his own glory in such a way that he simultaneously brings his people most
blessing! His pleasure and our blessing are marriage partners! This is a
commitment from which he will never withdraw.
